What Families Love

My 78 year old dad lived at Village Green due to his Parkinson’s disability. I can not say enough wonderful things about the staff and his care. They went above and beyond to make him feel comfortable, safe, loved, and supported. Communication was top notch, and he loved the home cooked meals. They also went above and beyond to make family and visitors comfortable and supported. After he was transferred for unforeseen circumstances, they continued to visit him at his new place, as well as invite him to family celebrations like Father’s Day brunch. 5 stars all around

Worth Knowing

I’m extremely disappointed with the quality of care and professionalism at Village Green in Cypress. From what I’ve witnessed during visits, the management and staff are frequently eating in plain view of residents or on their phones, even during times when attention should clearly be directed toward patient care. It gives the impression that residents’ needs are not the priority. The facility itself is not well-kept with common areas often look dirty or neglected, and there’s little sense of urgency or attention to cleanliness or resident comfort. I’ve also had direct disagreements with Amber, one of the managers, regarding concerns about care and communication, which were not handled professionally. Additionally, there is a staff member named Dee who has been especially disrespectful to not just to me, but to my great-grandfather as well. She makes rude faces and has a dismissive attitude, rarely checking in on him unless prompted. It’s incredibly disheartening to see someone in a caregiving role treat elderly residents with such a lack of compassion. I had hoped for a safe, supportive environment for my loved one, but based on what I’ve seen, I cannot recommend this facility to other families.
