What Families Love

Rod was referred to me by my cousin who had known him since middle school and had just helped my aunt with a similar situation. I am a skeptic by nature but was quickly won over by Rod’s warmth and empathy. I expected to be sold and pushed, yet it was nothing like that. He spent significant time with my sister and me trying to understand Mom’s needs as well as ours. During the process we narrowed down a list of places to visit. He arranged and attended them all. Reminding me to ask questions I forgot to a giving insights I never would have thought of. My sister could not attend those tours so he took her back to the top 2 identified and did it again. It was remarkable to see staff and residents rush up to greet and hug him. At one facility he stayed to visit a resident that he had worked with over a decade ago who was in her 90’s, just to say hello. He has become part of the family and has continued to be a resource with every step of the process even after she moved into her current community. If you want someone who will treat your loved one as his own family then call Rod at Assisted Living Advisers! If you think this is hyperbole, call me and I will happily give you more details on why I chose to write this review.

Finding the right place for my mother is an overwhelming task. I’m so glad we found Rod to apply his knowledge, experience and expertise and find a perfect match for mom. ELDER CARE. If you know, you know. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Thanks to Rod Oshins at Assisted Living Advisers for the professional consulting services. Rod, you get five stars! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ July was a pretty hectic month as I had to, once again, search for a more affordable zip code for Mom. I’ve been sure to always place her in quality assisted living for Memory Care - but the increased cost of elder care outpaces inflation by a long shot, while her pension and social security remain fixed until her life story ends. ZIP CODE MATTERS. And with each move, she is farther and father away from me. For the first time, I had to cross state lines. Thanks to Rod Oshins’ research, we moved her to a lovely place in New Jersey - but thankfully I live within 10 minutes of of the George Washington Bridge, and she is equidistant to it on the Jersey side. Thank goodness for Lyft - only 25 minutes away on a good day! So far, I’m very happy with this choice. The staff is very friendly and attentive, so it took no time for Mom to adjust. She has a sunny room equipped with a kitchenette all to herself - no roommates YAY! There is a gorgeous dining room, private dining for special events, several cozy living room spaces, outdoor patios, entertainment, cinema, art room, on-site wellness/nursing facility with visiting doctors and nurse practitioner weekly. The decor is joyous and welcoming, centered around an old 1940s/50s Hollywood and Television movie star theme. I’m grateful to Rod for helping to make sense out of what is otherwise a black box of information overload. I would 100% recommend him to any family who is looking for help in making this important decision .
