The Bristal Assisted Living at White Plains

I have been doing pet therapy here, with my dog Rico, for almost 3 years. The interactions between the staff and residents are welcoming and warm, treating residents like family. Rico loves coming here! When I say the word "work" , he jumps off the couch, excited to come. From a volunteer looking at the Bristal, there is so much for residents to do. The Bristal holds a weekly special lunch in the Bistro, where they rotate residents to enjoy a restaurant feel with a menu any many choices from appitizers to dessert, wait staff, in a limited dine in experience. Between bingo, trivia, book club, guest speakers, movies, opera, art and painting, etc the activities are endless. There are also outings residents can attend together such as lunch, theater play and lunch or simple trips to CVS.

I flew here from South Florida to accompany a resident moving from the Bristal to my community in Tequesta. I’m the Health and Wellness Director for my building and WOW. I am beyond impressed. The building is beautiful, the staff are pleasant and friendly, and there was just a very welcoming atmosphere. I left with tears in my eyes seeing how much love the staff was giving the resident. Every employee came to say their good byes and you could tell just how much they care for their residents. As a director myself, I would 100% move any of my loved ones into this community. Judy Forrest was very nice! She helped gather the staff to say good bye. Thank you all for providing quality care to the elderly. These are the type of people You want caring for your loved one. Nursing staff was on point and super friendly! Highly recommend
