What a truly remarkable place Independence Village is — a community that genuinely looks after and honors those who deserve it most. Years ago, my son worked at a local senior living facility where many residents eventually moved to Independence Village in search of something better. Through conversations with those residents, he learned they had finally found the happiness, care, comfort, and peace they were hoping for in their golden years. Fast forward to 2025, when I became involved as a club advisor for Tech Connect – Bridging Generations at Metea Valley High School. Our club focuses on connecting students with older generations through tech support but more importantly, forming meaningful relationships, shared experiences, and creating moments that remind seniors they are valued, remembered, and loved. As we searched for a community partner to bring this mission to life, Independence Village welcomed us with open arms. Independence Village has become so much more than a senior living community to us — it feels like family. The residents and staff have opened both their doors and their hearts, and every visit reminds us why this partnership is so special. The joy, kindness, and warmth throughout the community are undeniable. We love our visits!!! One of the most meaningful moments of this partnership was helping make Ray’s dream come true. Ray, a 100-year-old WWII veteran, went to war before he ever had the chance to attend prom or graduate in 1945. Thanks to the incredible support of Nathan and Barbara, along with the entire Independence Village family, we were able to give Ray the prom experience he never had. It was a magical and emotional experience that none of us will ever forget. We are so excited to continue partnering with Independence Village to create even more unforgettable moments and dreams come true for their residents. Thank you for welcoming us into your family and for showing what compassionate community truly looks like. We are forever grateful for this partnership and the friendships we have built along the way.

Nathan is an expert and absolutely is a calming force in helping you navigate your loved one’s future. Whether or not you select his community or not, he’s a helper, no matter what! The community at Independence Village is tight knit and warm and embracing. There is no expensive buy in and the monthly expense is for the duration of your loved one’s life, with no increase percentage yearly, which is a huge advantage. A great place, great services and a beautiful dining room, tons of activities and opportunities to make new friends!
